Zofia's life becomes more complicated when her husband, Dorian, returns as a vampire after having been considered dead for years.
Zofia and her Aunt Tillie work to turn Dorian back into a wizard, but before they can, he becomes a prime suspect in a murder investigation and is incarcerated.
Blood will do anything to get the Stone. The black unicorn (who enjoys the petunias in Zofia's garden), figures into her only salvation when Blood abducts both her son and her daughter.
A light fantasy for adults, Lorelei sought something for adults after falling in love with the Harry Potter series and went to work fashioning this whimsical tale about a sorceress, and her family who are from another planet.
